Fortune Teller
|
||
I made an origami fortuneteller like we used to do in Brownies. I made it with the page giving the definitions of fortune and fortuneteller in the Webster’s Classic Reference Library Dictionary, New Revised Edition (McGraw Hill Children’s Publishing, 2001). Then I told some fortunes. I picked a word from the outside four flaps of the fortuneteller (the same shape is also called a "cootie catcher"), then picked another word from the inside eight flaps of the fortuneteller, then lifted a final flap to reveal the fortune. I transcribed a few fortunes here.
