It has
taken
me long
enough
to recog-
nize that
you’re
the state
I’m al-
ways in
after wine
has turn-
ed my
lips the
milky co-
balt blue
of this and
every even-
ing’s lone-
liness.
Flying
Across
the sky
I’m think-
ing how
the air
is not
really
emp-
ty at
all, in-
stead
the air
is full,
full of
tiny
hands
we can-
not see.
