towards rationale

Stephen House

if life meant

dread descending

then finally

i have reached placid

for we know the dancing ends

somewhere before dawn

so i slid towards rationale

with age

insight found

respect

offering

just is

appreciating

this

needing was there

once vibrating

and dropped off

dew-like on petal fine

there are only remains of burden

youth gave way to consideration

simplicity built

for momentary

singing calm

reward

delivered

in now

valuing

here

alone i am

often by choice

though accompanied

mostly by dear him

is enough to glow a life that bled

and grew and moved and slept

by own accord of survive

well lived

divine encounter

self-found

existence

being one

celebrating

alive
