Unsure What Spoon to Stir

dan raphael

in the right light

voice-acclimated

something holding that could let go any second

the line draws itself

like an antenna out of a pond

something for the knees to do

other than sitting or standing

the dust of my skin

even blank paper sheds

the stiller the air, the subtler the exchange

wind is never just one speed, one density

motion both multiplies and trims

as no matter how many blades the knife

only a couple are ready at once
